BOBHA offers Independent Living. All tenants must be able to live independently with
or without community supports.
Senior’s Self-Contained Housing
- Applicants must be below the Core Needs Income Threshold. As of 2016 the maximum income to apply is $46,000.
- Priority is given to applicants aged 65+
- Waitlist priority is determined by an applicants need for subsidized housing (Not first-come, first-served).
- Rent is based on 30% of gross income and rents are reviewed annually.
- Security Deposit of $120 is required.
- Rent payment includes charges for water, sewer and gas. Electricity is charged at a flat rate (currently $50 per month).
- Telephone, Cable TV and Internet are not included in the rent.
- Rental payments must be made by Pre-Authorized Debit.
- Tenants must carry liability insurance of no less than $1,000,000.
- Buildings are smoke-free
Columbus Place
- Applicants must be below the Core Needs Income Threshold. As of 2016 the maximum income to apply for a one bedroom is $46,000 and the maximum for a two bedroom is $55,000.
- There are a number of units for those exiting homelessness and there are 11 Accessible Units.
- Two-bedroom units are designated as family units.
- Rent is $680 (One Bedroom) and $962 (Two Bedrooms).
- Security Deposit of $450 is required.
- Rent payment includes charges for water, sewer and gas and tenants insurance.
- Electricity is charged at a flat rate (currently $50 per month).
- Telephone, Cable TV and Internet are not included in the rent.
- Rental Payments must be made by Pre-Authorized Debit.
- Building is smoke-free.
